The Nigerian Navy has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening training and operational readiness as the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Idi Abbas conducted a working visit to the Nigerian Navy School of Armament Technology (NNSAT), Kachia, on Friday, 17 April 2026. The visit aligns with the mission and vision of the Nigerian Navy to maintain a highly professional and combat-ready force.
On arrival, the CNS was received by the Commandant NNSAT, Commodore Chikaji Aminu Isah where he participated in a tree planting and was subsequently briefed on the NNSAT training activities, infrastructure development, and pressing operational requirements.
The CNS commended the Commandant, Officers Instructors, and Staff for their professionalism, dedication, and commitment to excellence, while also expressing satisfaction with ongoing infrastructural upgrades aimed at improving both training delivery and personnel welfare.
Earlier, the CNS visited and inspected the land allocated to the Nigerian Navy for the development of the Nigerian Navy Marine Technology Centre (NNMTC) at Anturu, Kachia.
The working visit concluded with presentation of souvenirs and a guided tour of key facilities within the School, enabling a firsthand assessment of training infrastructure and ongoing projects.
