On Thursday 8 May 2025, the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla, Admiralty Medal, has charged troops of the Nigerian Navy School of Armament Technology (NNSAT), Kachia, and the Maritime Component of Operation FANSAN YAMMA (OPFY) to remain selfless and committed in the discharge of their duties. He gave this charge during an address to the troops at the NNSAT parade ground.During the visit, the CNS commended the troops for their dedication and sacrifices. The visit also featured tree planting, a tour of NNSAT facilities, signing of the visitors’ notebook and presentation of several souvenirs to the CNS by the General Officer Commanding 1 Division, Nigerian Army and Commander Sector 1 OPFY, Major General Mayirenso Lander Saraso; the Commandant, Nigerian Army School of Artillery, Major General John Adeyemo and the Commandant NNSAT and Maritime Component Commander OPFY, Commodore Chikaji Aminu Isah.Earlier, the CNS was briefed by the Commandant NNSAT and Maritime Component Commander OPFY on the school’s activities as well as those of the Maritime Component OPFY. The CNS was accompanied on the visit by the Chief of Operations, Rear Admiral Eugenio Olusegun Ferreira; the Chief of Training, Rear Admiral Clement Egbinta Atebi; the Chief of Logistics Rear Admiral Olusola Kolawole Oluwagbire and other senior officers from Naval Headquarters.
