On Thursday, 7 August 2025, in a collaborative effort, the Commandant, Nigerian Navy School of Armament Technology (NNSAT), Kachia, and Maritime Component Commander, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, Commodore Chikaji Aminu Isah, hosted the Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Applied Sciences (FUAS), Kachia, Professor William Barnabas Qurix, OFR, at the NNSAT Conference Room.
The visit was aimed at strengthening strategic ties between the two institutions, with a focus on security support, collaboration and joint research and development initiatives. During the interaction, both parties exchanged ideas on how the academic and military institutions could collaborate to address national challenges through innovation, capacity building, and community engagement.
Highlights of the visit included the signing of the visitors’ book, presentation of a souvenir, and a commemorative photograph.
In attendance were the Registrar of FUAS, Prof Sanusi Adamu; the Acting Deputy Commandant, NNSAT, Captain Linus Osuman; as well as other principal staff officers of NNSAT and faculty members of FUAS.
